About Me
Hi I'm Fiona. I am a self taught artist working from my home studio in the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors, Usually surrounded by Dogs, Horses, Sheep, Hens and an amazing array of wildlife I am never short of inspiration for my animal paintings and portraits.
I prefer work in Oils, soft pastels or pencil for my paintings and commissions but also enjoy experimenting with other media. Although this site shows mainly animal paintings I also paint Human portraits and Coastal views of my local area.
I am currently working on a series of Trompe-l'oeil style animal paintings as well as a series of flower paintings( a subject I have never explored before).
Due to the time constraints of a full time job, I have, until now, worked mainly to commission and my paintings are held in numerous private collections around the UK.
However I have now decided to focus fully on my art career and have recently completed a course in pet portraiture with the London Art College, for which I received a diploma with distinction. I am currently taking commissions for both Animal and Human portraits, A full price list for these will be added to the commissions page of this website in the next few weeks.
